Katja came to Saronic looking for more rigor and more opportunities to learn. On any given day she might run fatigue calculations, build in CAD, meet with software and perception teams, or head to the shop floor to see the physical product take shape and eventually operate in the field. Her curiosity extends beyond engineering: one new challenge each year, from improv and ballet to Python and a screenplay.

When pilots went down in the Strait of Hormuz, Corsair executed the first known at-sea rescue by an autonomous vessel. That capability was built on over 100,000 nm and more than 20,000 hours of testing to ensure our vessels can deliver when they are needed most. That is what is at stake: extending reach, keeping people out of harm’s way and helping bring them home.
